This policy describes how material published on Yamamah Insights is chosen and reviewed, and what readers can expect from us — and hold us to.
Scope
We publish explanatory economic analysis: readings of numbers, data and decisions, and their effects. We do not publish breaking news, promotional content, or political, sectarian or personal material. The test for acceptance is one question: does the piece leave the reader understanding something they did not before?
Sources and verification
- Every figure is attributed to its original source, and source links are published with the piece.
- We prefer the primary source (the statement, the report, the financial filing) over second-hand reporting of it.
- Quotes are reproduced as given; any elision inside a quote is marked.
- What cannot be verified is not published, however widely it is circulating.
The publishing cycle
Nothing is published on one person's say-so. Every piece passes two review stages: a first editorial review of language, structure and attribution, then a second review verifying figures and sources — and only then is it cleared. A rejected piece goes back to its author with the reason.
Open contributions
Any registered member can submit a piece through “Write an article”. A submission enters review as a draft, is not publicly visible before it is cleared, and submitting does not oblige the platform to publish. A daily cap applies to how many submissions each contributor can have in review, to keep the review itself meaningful.
Tags and classification
We use a closed, hand-curated tag list rather than free tagging, so that tag pages stay worth browsing. A new tag is created only when the archive genuinely covers a topic that no existing tag represents.
Editorial independence and conflicts of interest
Editorial decisions belong to the editorial team alone. Authors must disclose any relationship with an entity appearing in their piece (employment, ownership, an internship, or a personal connection), and a piece may be reassigned where a conflict exists. We accept no payment in exchange for coverage, and any paid content — should it exist — is clearly labelled and never treated as editorial material.
Corrections
An error is corrected in place as soon as it is established. Substantive errors (a figure, a name, an attribution, or a conclusion built on any of them) are corrected with a note on the piece; typographical fixes carry no note. We do not remove published material except for legal reasons or an error that cannot be repaired, and we say why. To report an error, use the “Report a correction” link in the footer or write to [email protected].
Comments
Commenting is open to registered members under one rule: argue with the idea, not the person. Abusive, promotional or privacy-violating comments are removed. Some comments are written by the platform's AI personas, which are clearly labelled — see our AI use policy.
Disclosure
All published material is for knowledge and explanatory purposes, does not constitute investment or financial advice, and is no substitute for professional advice.
